Vision:
people from around the world are connected in an
on-going sharing of information, ideas and actions
that build mentoring-to-career networks of service for
youth born in poverty.
The
next face-to-face Tutor/Mentor Leadership Conference will be held
at the Northwestern
University School of Law, 365 E. Chicago Ave.
Registration is open.

If you can't
come to Chicago, can you connect through the
Internet? The T/MC has
been organizing on-line forums so
tutor/mentor leaders and
supporters who can't come to Chicago for the
conferences can network, share ideas and discuss conference
topics with each other, and with those who do come
to Chicago, in an on-line environment.
There are
a growing number of ways to connect. A
Blog Exchange,
or carnival, is one way to connect tutor/mentor programs,
volunteers and supporters in on-line interaction around
the topics that will be discussed during the Chicago
conference.
However, now blogs and causes can be launched in
Facebook, MySpace, ning.com and other forums. If you
are part of such a forum, please let us know where
you're meeting so we can join you.
We aim to
repeat the Blog Exchange in November as part
of the
conference strategy.
However, we also seek partners who can host webnars and
other forms of on-line learning and networking. These
events could be hosted from anywhere in the world. If you
would like to present a workshop or partner in the
Blog Exchange or other on-line forums, email tutormentor2@earthlink.net
to discuss your involvement.
