Colleges and Universities that support Tutor/Mentor Connection Strategies

The T/MC seeks partnership with college and university programs that use the resources of a university to help kids from throughout the country move from poverty to careers.

This ABC UNIVERSITY T/MC Power Point Presentation does not describe any college or university program that we know of. It describes the type of leadership we'd like to help colleges all over the country develop.  The basic format and ideas of this Power Point presentation was created by a strategic planning class at DePaul University in Chicago.

The  May 14-19, 2004 E-Conference Overlay is being developed with the support of the Digital Workforce Education Society of the City Colleges of Chicago.  This is an example of how a college can help.

Other examples are shown at the right. More will be added as new partners join the vision of helping every youth born in poverty, anywhere in America or the world, have an adult support system that provides a path through school and into jobs and careers.

Note: many of the presentations on this site are created in Power Point. Internet Explorer 4 and above are recommended for viewing presentations. Once  you open a presentation you can  click a view window in lower right corner to see full-screen animated presentations. To start the animation and to move from screen to screen just single-click on your "enter" button.

Newsletter Templates
Between January and March of 2004 students in the Art and Design 3 course at DePaul  University created newsletter templates that the T/MC used to create a new look for its printed newsletter.  This course was led by Daniel Morgenthaler.  Below are PDF files showing the newsletter designs submitted to the T/MC.  Feel free to use these design ideas to develop or upgrade your own newsletter.

a Newsletter template 1, created by Jeremiah Chiu, Natalie Woronko and Mike Bingaman
b Newsletter template 2, created by Jeremiah Chiu, Natalie Woronko and Mike Bingaman
c  Newsletter template 3, created by Linda Wang, Jessica Hook and Tahseen Basheerddin
 d

Newsletter template 4, created by Julio, Magda and Ashley. This group also created the layout used for the May Tutor/Mentor Leadership Conference.

The students who created these designs are freelance artists and may be interested in producing these newsletters for your organization.  Email tutormentor2@earthlink.net if you would like to be in contact with a specific group.
