Vision:
because of
the work we do youth living in poverty today will be
starting jobs and entering careers out of poverty by
age 25
While school starts each year in late August or September, Tutor/Mentor Programs are
constantly searching for volunteers, leaders and donors.
Visit the Program Locator to learn what programs are operating in different
parts of the Chicago region. If you don't have a resource like this for your
community, contact the Tutor/Mentor Connection and let us work with you to
develop this resource.
While a tutor/mentor program will
always be seeking volunteers, at
key times each year, such as
August/September, the Tutor/Mentor Connection (T/MC)
organizes a Chicagoland Tutor/Mentor Volunteer Recruitment
Campaign to raise awareness and recruit volunteers for any Chicago-area
volunteer-based tutor/mentor
programs that help youth who are in need of educational, career, and life
skills assistance.
The T/MC is a small non profit. We do not have advertising dollars to spread
the word about tutor/mentor programs. Thus, we seek business, hospital and faith leaders to become champions of this
campaign, in their own networks. Become
a leader, advocate and spokesperson for volunteer-based
tutoring/mentoring in your community.
