| Goal:
by age 25 youth born in poverty neighborhoods are entering first stages of
careers.
In areas of concentrated poverty,
particularly in major cities, we believe there needs to be a
continuity of support, which sequences from one age level to the next,
that propels a youth from one level to the
next then to a job/career.
Our first challenge is to find and
organize this information and keep it constantly updated with new
practices. Our second challenge
is to increase the number of stakeholders who visit and use this
information. |
What
programs do we know about that already engage adult tutors/mentors
to help youth build skills needed to succeed in school and more toward
careers?
What research is available to support an on-going process
of service learning by adults who get involved in the lives of these
children and youth?
We're looking
for web sites that show what some people are already doing. These
examples serve as innovation models for everyone else.
When we have this page formatted
you will be able to add a ULR to any box on this page.

What
organizations/"HUBs" are collecting
information on any of the sub-categories shown on the list below?
We don't
need every link for a promising practice if we can link to sites/HUBS
collecting multiple links for a specific practice. (Visit the NEWS
section of www.tutormentorconnection.org
to read the T/MC's vision of a HUB)
What research is available to support an on-going learning of any
stakeholder (volunteer, staff, youth, family,
philanthropist, business, media, elected official, educator, etc.)?
